Senior 55+ Yoga

Here at the center we offer a specific class for people 55 years and older. Using props such as bolsters, straps, blocks and chairs to modify postures for each individual. This class is tailored to the specific time in life where the element of air is most prominent.

The health benefits of yoga for seniors should be enough for you to want to learn the basics of yoga.

Here are some of the ways Yoga is good for us all:

-helps minimize high blood pressure

- helps to regulate the bowels

- strengthens bones

-improves balance

- reduces stress

- improves mood

- shed pounds

- creates clarity within the mind

Other classes that could be beneficial for seniors are hatha, vinyasa, ashtanga, restorative/ yin and hot yoga.
